Overview
The G10-07 is the extra-large cover in the G10 terminal insulation series — the biggest cover in the range, molded for the largest cable lugs, busbar terminals and bolted connections above 300 mm² conductor size. These are the heavyweight connections: main substation incomer cables, large power transformer terminations, MV busbar joints, and generator connections — connections that carry thousands of amps and where a single flashover can have catastrophic consequences.
At this scale, the terminal itself can be the size of a fist — and the bare metal surface area presents a substantial phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase risk. The G10-07’s robust, thick-wall HTV silicone body covers the entire connection assembly with generous creepage distance and a hydrophobic surface that actively prevents pollution tracking on the large metal surface — the single biggest failure mechanism for big outdoor terminals.
The largest sibling in the 4-size G10 family (02 → 05 → 06 → 07). Molded from HTV silicone — hydrophobic, UV-stable, anti-tracking, flame-retardant. Slip-on cap design with heavy-wall construction; live-line installable with appropriate hot-stick techniques for the terminal size. Full custom dimensional adjustments and OEM branding available — most G10-07 orders are custom-molded to the customer’s specific terminal dimensions.

Is G10-07 always custom-molded?
In practice, yes — most terminals above 300 mm² are application-specific, and we mold G10-07 to your terminal dimensions. Send us the lug drawing, bolt size, and cable OD and we’ll produce covers that fit perfectly. Lead time for custom tooling: typically 10–12 days.
How does G10-07 compare to using the D10-09 bushing cover?
G10-07 is a terminal-end cap — it covers a single cable lug at a dead-end connection point. D10-09 is a bushing cover — it wraps the top of a bushing terminal where the conductor enters from above. They serve different connection geometries. Send a photo and we’ll identify which cover type you need.
What voltage class is G10-07 rated for?
Distribution class up to 40.5 kV. The thick-wall silicone provides generous insulation for the terminal size. For higher voltages or special applications, contact us with your spec — we can increase wall thickness or creepage distance.
Can G10-07 be color-coded for phase identification?
Yes — we can produce G10-07 in red, yellow, blue (standard phase colors), grey, or any custom color. Phase-color sets (R/Y/B) are common for large transformer terminations.
