Overview
The BLQ-1 is a custom-molded silicone-rubber insulation cover designed specifically for medium-voltage surge arresters — both polymer-housed and porcelain types. It wraps the top terminal (line-side) and bottom terminal (ground-side) of the arrester, creating a weatherproof, hydrophobic insulating barrier that prevents phase-to-ground flashover, wildlife-induced short circuits, and tracking caused by pollution and moisture.
Molded from high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber, the BLQ-1 is UV-stable, anti-tracking, flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. It is dimensioned to fit standard distribution-class arresters (3–36 kV) and can be customized to non-standard arrester bodies upon request. Installation is slip-on — no heat, no adhesive, no special tools — and the cover can be applied during live-line work with appropriate hot-stick techniques.
Each set covers one 3-phase arrester bank (3 arresters = 3 covers). Produced in-house at Jiadian’s Yueqing factory with full OEM/ODM flexibility: custom color, branding, and dimensional adjustments to your specific arrester model.
