Purpose-molded HTV silicone-rubber cover for drop-out fuse cutout assemblies. Insulates the top contact (fuse-link terminal) and bottom hinge of the cutout — two of the most exposed live parts on a distribution line — preventing flashover, wildlife contact, and pollution-induced tracking.

Overview
The FCO-1 is a silicone-rubber insulation cover specifically molded for drop-out fuse cutout assemblies used on 11–38 kV overhead distribution lines. A fuse cutout has two critical exposed live points: the top contact (where the fuse link connects to the line-side terminal) and the bottom hinge (where the fuse tube pivots). Both are vulnerable to wildlife bridging — birds perching on the top contact or animals climbing across the hinge — which is a leading cause of nuisance fuse operations and line outages.
The FCO-1 cover wraps these live parts in a single molded piece of HTV silicone rubber, creating an insulating barrier that stops phase-to-ground flashover without interfering with the cutout’s normal drop-out operation. The cover is slit to allow the fuse tube to swing open and drop freely when the fuse link melts — it protects the live parts without compromising the cutout’s protective function.
Molded with the same hydrophobic, UV-stable, anti-tracking and flame-retardant HTV silicone as all Jiadian covers. Fits standard polymer and porcelain drop-out fuse cutouts; custom dimensional adjustments for non-standard cutouts available. Slip-on installation, live-line compatible.

What cutout brands/models does FCO-1 fit?
FCO-1 is molded for the most common drop-out fuse cutout body dimensions (polymer and porcelain). If you use a specific brand (e.g., Hubbell/Chance, S&C, or local Chinese models), send us the model number — we’ll confirm fit or adjust the mold.
Does FCO-1 come as a set for all 3 phases?
Yes — 3 PCS/SET covers one 3-phase cutout bank (3 cutouts × 1 cover each). Single-phase quantities available on request.
Can it be installed on an energized line?
Yes — the slip-on design and silicone flexibility allow installation with standard hot-stick tools on live lines, following standard live-line work safety procedures.
What about arc products when the fuse blows — will the cover burn?
The HTV silicone is flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. The cover is positioned to insulate the terminals, not to contain the arc. It is designed to survive normal fuse operations and outdoor exposure for years.
