Overview
The G10-02 is the smallest cover in the G10 terminal insulation series, purpose-molded for insulating exposed cable lugs, bolted terminals and clamp connections on distribution equipment. It is sized for conductors up to approximately 50 mm² — the terminal size most commonly found on distribution transformers, RMU (Ring Main Unit) cable boxes, pole-mounted switchgear, and LV/MV cable terminations.
An exposed bolted terminal is a prime point for phase-to-ground flashover triggered by moisture, pollution build-up, or wildlife contact. The G10-02 caps the terminal in a snug-fitting HTV silicone cover that leaves the conductor entry point sealed while the cable exits cleanly — no bare metal exposed.
The G10 series (G10-02 through G10-07) covers a spectrum of terminal sizes from small (02) to extra-large (07). If your terminals are larger than what G10-02 accommodates, check G10-05, G10-06 or G10-07. Molded from HTV silicone — hydrophobic, UV-stable, anti-tracking, flame-retardant — with slip-on installation, live-line compatible. Custom dimensional adjustments and OEM branding available.

How do I know which G10 size I need?
Measure your terminal lug width and bolt size. G10-02 fits the smallest terminals (≤ 50 mm² cable); G10-05 for 50–150 mm²; G10-06 for 150–300 mm²; G10-07 for > 300 mm². Send us a photo with a ruler for scale and we’ll confirm the right size.
What is the difference between G10 covers and SLG-3-4?
G10 series are terminal caps — they cover a single cable end termination (one entry, dead-end). SLG-3-4 is a line connection cover — it sleeves a through-connection where the conductor continues on both sides. Pick based on whether your connection is an end-point (G10) or an in-line point (SLG).
Can G10-02 be used on angled or offset terminals?
The standard G10-02 is molded for straight cable entry. For angled terminals or unusual geometries, send a photo or drawing — we can adjust the mold or recommend a custom solution.
Do I need to de-energize to install?
