Overview
The HRW12-40.5 is a 36 kV polymer drop-out (expulsion) fuse cutout for overhead distribution networks. On fault, the fuse link melts, the arc is quenched inside the tube, and the tube drops by gravity to form a visible isolation gap — combining overcurrent protection and visible disconnection in one passive, hot-stick-operable device.
Available in 100 A and 200 A, common (drop-out) and load-break versions. Built and type-tested to IEC 60282-2 / GB 15166.3.
